Who was the Sorcerer Supreme During the 5 Years Between “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame”?

Avengers: Endgame, (despite confusing few people) gave us a movie that will remain as a milestone for years to come – A dream of seeing the biggest superhero assembly taking over Marvel’s (arguably) best villain came true! However, there were questions raised, and confusion created, for example, how can Peter Parker go back to high school after 5 years? Did Loki avoid the death at the hands of the Mad Titan? And if he did then shouldn’t that change the entire storyline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? A lot were questioned, and a lot are still debated on.

I found one question nagging me a little, and that was – Who was the Supreme Sorcerer after Avengers: Infinity War and before Doctor Strange re-appeared in Avengers: Endgame? Clearly, there was no Doctor Strange and the Ancient One! So, did Wong become the Sorcerer Supreme for 5 years?

Here’s What Wong Said –

The question was asked to Benedict Wong at Celebrity Fan Fest’s panel recently. Wong stated that even he is not entirely sure, but since he was the only one defending the Sanctum, so that makes him the Sorcerer Supreme. He also joked on writing a book on that!

Now that I know what Wong believed and what is logically correct, I am hoping that we will get to know more about it when Doctor Stranger sequel comes out.
