Momus Take –
Colossal is not the usual type of indie superhero fantasy movie. It does not have much of logical or rational explanation, but I found it very entertaining nevertheless. The storyline has some flaws, but the film doesn’t bore. Colossal also has some good humour.
Colossal didn’t get much notice, possibly because of limited publicity and release. However, that couldn’t change the fact that Colossal was an entertaining movie and deserves more attention.
Colossal has moments that will remind you of the popular alien-giant robot movie, The Pacific Rim. But the film has an entirely different plot. The story of Colossal is about a writer who loses her job and strangely finds herself connected to a monster in South Korea!

Director and writer, Nacho Vigalondo made the semi-superhero movie with a different storyline. Colossal is different than many famous superhero or fiction storylines.
Anne Hathaway plays her role beautifully; Jason Sudeikis also does a great job. The movie also has Dan Stevens in a minor yet essential supporting role.
If you are a superhero fan and want to try something that is entertaining and falls in the fantasy-superhero genre, then Colossal can be the perfect choice for you.
